So the WebPresent team had to react &#8212; and quickly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WebPresent began integrating airtime top-up APIs to create mobile airtime solutions for resellers, and the market quickly responded back positively. Today, the company now uses the Reloadly API to address their pure reseller audience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you need to touch a broad population in Africa, no matter what other product you&#8217;re selling, you have to go with airtime,\u201d says G\u00e9rard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cAirtime is the fastest and in demand product for Africa; more than 90% of mobile subscribers are on prepaid telecom plans. If you sell airtime, you can cross-sell anything else.\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, G\u00e9rard had to think about how to further democratize access to mobile airtime solutions for his growing network of airtime business clients.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This is where the airtime widget came into play.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Reloadly Airtime widget is a solution we use for our web hosting customers, whose main products are not airtime,\u201d says G\u00e9rard. \u201cMeanwhile, the Reloadly API solution will be for pure resellers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the airtime widget sits on the site of <a href=\"https:\/\/lubumbashimobile.com\/\">Lubumbashi Mobile<\/a> and can be easily activated by a customer with the click of a button.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/y7yyLR4nmOcDz-iCSYMkombZ2dkqEhYWtEPJL5pBWzeYGn_RHedcfCpZEOKxaPr7eT2Pf7VUJRaeBk56HrcJx5sxkWj0WUjO3nmHgU6VFBJ_rXjfjypyMlpB3dq2gp_4WOenkND6=s0\" alt=\"airtime widget reloadly\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Because the airtime widget is a white label solution, <strong>Lubumbashi Mobile was able to choose the color scheme for the widget as well as the location of the pop up.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/Q4DRZAKKJW-94YPBqxuBqW3kZdWYjucTqnhmYQLZIcIzG8JG3PlfRPgTLdbCPaKPpxd_PJ94YqRhUFmLUragg2SNZX3odfA6nebVlPRClVB3LAsCZ3zqBOgu42i9KblUw5RATo5V=s0\" alt=\"airtime widget reloadly\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The ease of setup and customizability was key for this client, as well as WebPresent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe widget is very easy to install for our customers,\u201d says G\u00e9rard, adding that the widget has also introduced a wider telco network in the process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSome of our customers used to use a mobile app that did not have a broad range of choice for specific destinations,\u201d says G\u00e9rard. \u201cWith Reloadly, they now have more choice than their previous company.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dominating emerging markets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mobile airtime services are so incredibly powerful because of the huge demand for prepaid services across the emerging markets of Africa, Latin America and Asia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, in parts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/218145\/prepaid-and-postpaid-mobile-subscribers-in-latin-america-by-country\/\">Latin America<\/a>, the mobile market is just as largely dependent on prepaid as Africa, with Nicaragua having the highest percentage of prepaid mobile subscribers at 94%, and Chile the lowest rate at 57%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In India and Southeast Asia prepaid mobile markets also.
