Today’s digital environment makes us aware of the need to protect all the data and information we share online daily, that is why ensuring its safety is our top priority. For this reason we are implementing enhancements such as Two Factor Authentication (2FA), which will be mandatory on March 13th<\/sup><\/strong>. You might have been seeing a notification asking you to set up a 2FA when you log into your account. Tis measurement adds a second layer of security to your account and gives you more control over its accessibility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Two Factor Authentication<\/strong> – 2FA?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is a second layer of security that verifies you are the person who is trying to access your online account.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does Two factor authentication work?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 2FA (two-factor authentication) security system requires two different forms of authentication to identify the user and give access to something such as a google account or our portal. The first authentication factor usually is the password, and the second one is a code sent by text messages, authentication apps, or others.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why do we need this security system to keep your account safe? <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There was a time when simple password would be enough to protect your account, but that is no longer the case. With technology, password hacking has improved, and hackers have found new ways to get your data. That is why today is often required to use complex combinations of numbers and letters for your passwords. These usually include lower and upper cases and non-alphanumerical symbols to keep your data safe and away from cyber criminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But even complex passwords are not safe from sophisticated hacking and information-gathering techniques. Phishing, malware, digital brute force, and even online extortion are part of the modern hacker\u2019s arsenal, so a second layer of security helps us guarantee your data’s safety. Because of this reality, we are now enforcing it as an obligatory step all of our clients must take to keep their information secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can you set your Reloadly 2FA?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Starting this March 13th<\/sup>, as soon as you log into your account, you must set your 2FA up. For this to work, you may have to install one of the various 2FA apps supported by Reloadly\u2019s platform on your mobile phone, such as Google Authentication, Authy, Auth0, or DUO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
